Open Call for Film Crew

I am looking for a few people who are willing to help out behind the scenes on the movie Go Man, Go. If you are interested, please contact me at DravisBixel@gmail.com.

I am looking for people who are going to be passionate about the project. If you are looking to try something new in your life, this would be a great opportunity. Experience isn't all that important to me, but I won't say no to a little talent. I also need people who can be relied upon. I am trying to keep the time requirements for people down, but I would still need people for a couple of nights and a few weekend days over the course of the summer. These will also be paid positions, so it should be a fun way to do something new and earn a little extra money.

Here are the positions I am looking for.

  • Cinematographer: This person will be both the cameraman and direct the photography. They will be responsible for making sure we get the shot. Again, experience isn't necessary. I would rather have someone how is excited about filming.
  • Action Cameramen: Much of the movie will be of people moving on bikes. I need probably two people who can operate a camera and ride a bike. I am still working on the details. I might go with a small action camera, like a Contour or GoPro. If this sounds like fun to you, let me know.
  • Sound Tech: We will probably also need a sound tech. Someone who can record the sound on set.
  • Lighting Tech: Some parts of the film will be shot at night. I am not sure how much lighting we will need to get the shots, but I would like someone who could help out if we need them. This person would work closely with the cinematographer.
  • Assistant Director: The AD will manage the set, making sure that everyone is in place and everything is where it needs to be.
  • Production Assistant: This person would be involved in a ton of different stuff. Arranging meetings. Calling people to make sure they will be on set. Running errands. My guess is this person will log the most hours.
  • Casting Director: I need a person to help out with casting during April. While the casting will most likely be somewhat informal, I think a second opinion would be quite beneficial.

If you think you would be a good fit in one of these areas, let me know. If you would like to help out, but don't know where you fit in, let me know that as well. I am happy to work with anyone who is interested.

Again, any questions feel free to e-mail me at DravisBixel@gmail.com.

Oh, if you want to be in front of the camera, that is great. I hope to begin casting next month. You can let me know any time, though.
